Your child will be cared for to the highest of standards by an experienced, fully accredited and well qualified Childcare Practitioner. Childminding today is a profession that aligns with the attainments sought for each child by local authority and private nurseries, while maintaining a more personal touch and individual approach.

The aim of the practice is to promote happy, healthy, secure children with the confidence to move forwards with their learning. The care provided, is warm, and nurturing with constant focus on child-led learning in a comfortable and safe home environment. I will develop an individual child-centric plan which will facilitate activities promoting health, wellbeing and learning. The principles of 'Getting it right for every child' (GIRFEC) form the foundation of my practice.
The Scottish Government's principles within 'Realising the Ambition: Being Me' form a strategy to develop a holistic and seamless journey from birth to starting school which aims to provide a more inclusive early learning and childcare foundation for their lifelong learning experience.
Strawberry Patch Childminding fully supports this integrated approach to early years childcare and follows the early years curriculum.

Strawberry Patch Childminding delivers a professionally based childcare practice. Founded on many years of experience in childcare as a Nursery Nurse, Creche Supervisor, Childminder, Nanny, Primary School Classroom Assistant and Support for Learning Assistant. All underpinned by successfully raising 3 daughters, now grown-up.
Registered Childminder covering Wallyford & Musselburgh areas. Year round childcare for ages 0 through 12. Early years specialist.
